Product Description
EVOMEC is a veterinary injectable solution containing ivermectin, intended for the treatment and control of internal and external parasite infestations in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. It is used against gastrointestinal worms, lungworms, nasal worms, kidney worms, lice, mites and certain ticks, according to the product's authorised indications.
Composition
Each 1 ml contains:

Ivermectin: 10 mg

Excipients: Formal glycerol and propylene glycol.
Pharmacological Action
Ivermectin belongs to the avermectin group of antiparasitic substances. It acts against susceptible endoparasites and ectoparasites in the authorised target species.
Indications
Cattle: Treatment and control of susceptible gastrointestinal worms, lungworms, certain fly larvae, lice, mites and ticks.
Sheep and goats: Treatment and control of susceptible gastrointestinal worms, lungworms, nasal bot larvae and mites.
Pigs: Treatment and control of susceptible gastrointestinal worms, lungworms, kidney worms, lice and mites.
Dosage and Administration
Administer by subcutaneous injection only. The dose depends on the animal species and body weight.

Cattle: The product information specifies 1 ml per 50 kg of body weight.

Sheep and goats: The product information specifies 0.5 ml per 25 kg of body weight.

Pigs: The product information specifies 1 ml per 33 kg of body weight, injected subcutaneously in the neck area.

Contraindications, Precautions and Adverse Reactions
Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to ivermectin or any excipient. Do not inject intravenously or intramuscularly. Do not mix with other injectable products in the same syringe. Temporary swelling may occur at the injection site.
Use during pregnancy or lactation only in accordance with the authorised product information and veterinary advice. Do not use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
